English Squid
£15.00
The natural skin colour and green eyes of our new 9″ squid complement the specialist pigments incorporated in the make up of these next generation baits.
These UV activated additive’s replicate the natural glow that loligo forbesii (English Squid) emit from their light organs through a symbiotic relationship with bioluminescent bacteria.
Although the primarily purpose of this natural glow is to camafloulage the squid via a counter-illumination trick (matching light from above to hide their silhouette from predators below), this function inadvertently makes them stand out to bluefin tuna as they have a specialised Vision Adaptation including the ability to see ultraviolet (UV) light and a high sensitivity to blue-green light (around 490 nm), which matches the typical color of ocean bioluminescence.
By incorporating this revolutinary feature, these new squid baits stand out in a crowded bait ball like a sore thumb!
This takes the waiting out of the strike.
Super tough, these new squid baits will catch fish after fish without tearing.
Available in packs of 3.
